Analysis of 55 Adult Cases Surgically Treated for Pontocerebellar Angle Tumors

Objective: Pontocerebellar angle (PCA) tumors, although typically of benign nature, are significant clinical and pathological importance. The aim this study is to investigate the characteristics PCA as well surgical outcomes, which hold a place in practice. Methods: 55 adult patients who underwent surgery for tumors at Department Neurosurgery, Dicle University Faculty Medicine, between 2013 2023 were included study. records these retrospectively reviewed. Results: age (17 male, 38 female) ranged from 18 75 years. According diagnosis, 23 cases diagnosed meningioma, 19 schwannoma, 6 epidermoid 2 metastases, 1 hemangioblastoma, hemangioma, medulloblastoma, neuroblastoma, small round cell tumor. Gross total resection was achieved all cases. Overall, 47.3% had one or more postoperative complications. Postoperative permanent facial palsy developed patients. overall mortality rate 9%. Conclusion: constitute group among intracranial tumors. Surgical treatment an important option management Primary goal gross feasible today. Though complications common, majority them temporary.
